Country Home 11x14 oil on linen....day 12, 30 in 30

Country Home
11x14 oil
 Day 12, 30 in 30

This red country home and  surrounding acreage belong to our Sons best friend Russell, and his wife Laurie.
It sits on a hilltop with incredible 360 view for miles in NW Arkansas.
He and our son are both hero's in my book. Our Son is a Paramedic, Engineer/Firefighter.
Russell is also a firefighter and they worked together for several yrs. at a local FD.
While our Son moved to a different FD here in
NW Arkansas, they remain great friends.
Recently, while at his home,. I realized I just had to paint their home and setting.
I gifted this to them just last week.:)

I would love to hear from you, and welcome your comments....Leslie

Soft Light 8x10 oil, day 9, 30 in

Soft Light
8x10 oil
Day 9, 30 paintings in 30 days

I actually worked on this painting a few months
Ago, but hadn't shared it. I am thinking of using this as a study to do a large 30" x40" painting.
I cropped it off of the bottom for the size to work in
Leslie Saetas 30 in 30 blog this month for day 9.
I worked on this at the tail end of a workshop with
Derek Penix. It is one of my favorite paintings.
Derek is an award winning
Impressionistic painter from Tulsa, OK.
I have hosted Derek twice over the past 3
Yrs. here with The Artist
Of NW Arkansas oil workshops.
Check out Derek's incredible work.

It has a lot of texture and the great design
On one of my favorite vases.
I would love comments in my work, on to
working on day 9 of Leslie Saetas, 30

Peonies in a Pot

This represents Day 1 of the annual
