"Red Barn" 3"x5"

Red Barn
3" x 5" oil on hard panel

I painted this small piece last week. I had been watching a
Alaska survival program on Discovery. I noticed a portion of the show
Where there was a scene similar to this. I was wanting to paint
A quick painting that evening. So, without any reference to
Look at, I did this country scene from memory. The red bldg. really stands out
Against the complementary greens.
I did this very quickly and really like it. There
Is something so simple and fresh about it.
It is a scene I think that literally could be found
Anywhere. I hope you enjoy this small red barn painting.

I also have paintings that can be seen at

  2. Hello Leslie. Fun to see your paintings. Great variety and subject matter. You asked about which panels I use. My favorite are by raymar. I linen on wood. I have painted with source tek too but can not recall with type. Been a while. I also paint often on the deep canvases and I use the creative mark paramount brand that I buy though Jerrys art. Not too expensive.
Good luck to you in your art journey. Looks like you are working hard and creating some beautiful works.
